Overview
Each and every one of us struggles with writing at some time or another. Some of us have trouble writing a sympathy note. Others have trouble writing evaluation letters when we are in supervisory positions. Whatever our individual struggles are it is helpful to identify the specific struggles. We may not be able to turn the struggles into advantages but identifying them will let us know where we need to spend our energy.

This is the first of four discussion boards (DB) in the course. Each of the four DBs will have a specific focus and instructions. The format will remain the same. Each person will write about a specific topic and post it. Each person will then read the posts of two (2) peers and respond to them.  More specific instructions for DB #1 follow.

Instructions

For the initial post:

• Identify your three (3) biggest struggles/challenges with writing.
• Explain how these struggles have impacted your past experiences with writing.

Note

• The length of this discussion is to be 250-300 words.
• Two (2) references are required for the initial DB post. You may use your textbook as a reference, but it does not count towards the minimum required references. References for Discussion Boards must also adhere to the APA Manual 7th edition formatting.

All performance improvement programs should have a measurement component or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure quality. These indicators are known by many names: metrics, measures, checks, or evaluations, but they all serve the same purpose: to evaluate the success or the failure of the performance management initiative. Select your current or previous employer, when addressing the requirements below

1.Explain the three levels of performance (i.e., system, process, job/performer) and then select a metric that would be suitable to use for each level.

2.Include an example of what the metric is measuring and how it is used to interpret performance at each respective level.

3.Explain what type of performance evaluation system you would use to evaluate a specific job position of your choice. Justify why you believe this is the right system to use.

4.Based upon the selected system, what assessment method would you utilize? Justify why you believe that this is an effective assessment method.

5.Choose a specific industry in Saudi Arabia and explain how your selected system and method are aligned or different from performance management practices in the industry you have chosen.

Mental Health Newsletter/Brochure – Major Depression

After reviewing the topic assigned chapters and the electronic resources in your study Topic Resources, choose between bipolar, major depression, or a somatic disorder.

1. Describe the chosen disorder and the assigned code from the current DSM.

2.Which psychological model best fits this disorder (i.e., biological, cognitive)?

3.Discuss the etiology of this disorder and the common symptoms, including the manifestation of the symptoms.

4.Identify the different forms of treatment and therapy commonly prescribed for this disorder. Discuss the efficacy while considering a multicultural worldview.

5.Examine the values and belief systems about behavioral health disorders across cultures. How would the various stigmas or beliefs affect treatment options?
