Quality improvement in health care organizations involves a system of continuously finding better approaches to provide quality patient care and service. Health care delivery is complex and accomplished by a team of health care professionals. At its core, quality improvement is a team process and effort. In the health care ecosystem, there are various external stakeholders who have a stake on quality of care. Each internal or external stakeholder can make significant contributions to sustain quality of care and patient safety.

Note

In 300 to 400 words:

• Identify internal stakeholders and their roles in quality improvement.

• Determine external stakeholders (e.g., payors, regulatory agencies, accrediting entities, etc.) and their roles in quality improvement.

• Evaluate the role of the patients and their family members in continuous quality improvement.

• Discuss the importance of a team in quality and risk management.

Statistics

Part 1: Descriptive Statistics

For this Discussion, you will perform descriptive statistics analysis on your research participants and their survey responses. In the survey, there are demographics on age, race, education, and marital status. Analyze each using the appropriate descriptive statistics.

Pick either community or political service (not the open-ended questions or ones associated with the CSAS) and do a frequency count or descriptive stats as appropriate for each of the associated questions.

Part 2: Inferential Statistics

Our study has 11 RQs. RQs 1, 3, 4, and 7 will be analyzed by correlations, and RQs 2, 5, and 6 will be analyzed by multiple regression. Pick 2 correlational RQs and 1 multiple regression RQ and analyze them using SPSS.

 Pathophysiology Paper

You will pick a disease for your pathophysiology paper. The disease must be for one of the organ systems covered this term listed in the syllabus. Select a disease from current events that is an emerging or reemerging concern to you or people in your area. Provide local epidemiological data for the disease.

Note

The paper must be in APA format and 2-5 pages.

Your paper must include:

• Introduction to the disease and the organ system (history, signs, symptoms, epidemiology etc.)
• Discussion of the normal anatomy and physiology of the organ system involved (cell and tissue populations involved, organs, primary functions, connections to other body systems)
• Discussion of the changes to the anatomy and physiology as a result of the disease (pathophysiology)
• Discussion of treatment/prevention options
• 3 primary and at least 2 secondary scholarly sources

Computer

Think about shapes you see every day in the world around you. Your computer monitor is likely a three-dimensional rectangular shape. The cake from your friend’s wedding was probably a stack of circular cylinders decorated for the special occasion. The tortilla chips you ate while watching TV last week were likely a triangular shape.

Research a geometrically shaped object to share with the class. Think notable, unique, interesting, but not too familiar. Yes, the planets and moon, but also consider architectural shapes like the White House, the Egyptian pyramids, and Bermuda Triangle are notable but are commonly known. Please look for something unique or lesser-known to share. It can be a monument, building, natural phenomenon, famous place, artworks, etc. Consider your country of origin for possible objects.

Shape of your choosing: Circular or three-dimension shapes like cylindrical, spherical, and conical).

Shapes composed mainly of your assigned shape but with other shapes included are acceptable. Remember to cite your sources using current APA formatting.

Your assignment should be 250-300 words and respond to the following prompts.

1. Include a photo(s) and direct URL in the post. Be sure to include these in your APA reference(s).
2. Give the background and a list of facts about it, including at least one cited source. Include things like:
   1. Where is it located?
   2. Who designed it and when? Or was it naturally created?
   3. How was it discovered?
   4. Did a famous event occur there?
   5. Is it associated with a famous/historical person?

3. Why did you choose it? Include things like:

4. State one appropriate measurement (perimeter, area, surface area, volume, etc.) that could theoretically be computed on your assigned shape.
